TRAINERS

ROMAN

Roman has been passionate about boxing since the age of 9, competing in over 150 bouts throughout his 12-year career. With a specialist degree in coaching from the University of Olympic Professional Sports and 5 years of coaching experience, he brings expertise in both Olympic and professional boxing.

Starting his coaching career in Ukraine, Roman then moved to Canada, where he continued refining his coaching methods and volunteering. Now coaching at Box2Fit, Roman works with athletes of all ages and skill levels—from kids to seniors—helping them improve fitness or prepare for competition.

His training focuses on mastering boxing techniques, building strength, speed, and coordination, and enhancing overall fitness with a personalized, mindful approach to movement.

JO

Jo is a passionate, dedicated professional committed to helping individuals of all ages and abilities achieve their health and fitness goals. A certified personal trainer through International Sports Science Association, with specialized certifications in weightlifting, recovery, and adaptive training, Jo works with clients ranging from 5 to 87 years old, including those who are non-ambulatory.

Jo is currently pursuing her nutrition certification and holds a diploma in Human Kinetics. She’s also a Special Educator, supporting non-neurotypical adults in home care. As a boxing and kickboxing coach with 15 years of fitness experience, Jo empowers clients through programs like Box2Fit’s Punch Out Parkinson’s and Boxability.

Driven by her love for sports and personal experience with medical challenges, Jo is passionate about helping others discover their strength, confidence, and potential through fitness.

With over 20 years as a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, I’m passionate about helping individuals and families transform their lives through fitness. For the past five years, I’ve been coaching young athletes, instilling strength, mobility, and a mindset that empowers them to reach their full potential.

As a father of three, I’m driven more than ever to lead by example and show busy families how fitness can be a game-changer. Whether you're an athlete aiming for peak performance or a parent making health a priority, I’m here to guide, support, and cheer you on every step of the way. JOANA

JoAna is a passionate and dedicated fitness instructor with a heart for helping older adults and seniors boost their strength, balance, and mobility. With certifications from BCRPA in fitness theory, group fitness, weightlifting, older adult fitness, and personal training, she combines expert knowledge with boundless creativity to make every class exciting and empowering.

JoAna’s mission is simple: to create a vibrant, supportive space where older adults can feel stronger, more confident, and truly alive. She believes that active living is the key to unlocking a healthier, happier life, and she’s committed to guiding each individual toward their full potential. With JoAna by your side, every movement is a step toward a more energetic and fulfilling future!

ESMERALDA

Esmeralda was born into the world of boxing, raised in the gym alongside her father, where she developed a deep passion for the sport from an early age. With years of experience as both a coach and trainer, she began leading adult group classes when she was just 12 years old.

Beyond boxing, Esmeralda has dedicated much of her career to working with individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other disabilities, using fitness as a tool to improve mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Holding a Personal Trainer Certification with CanPro, she guides clients through a well-rounded approach to fitness that includes boxing, strength training, and functional movement.

Esmeralda’s training philosophy is built on discipline, skill, and empowerment. Whether coaching competitive athletes, beginners, or individuals overcoming physical challenges, her dedication to helping others achieve their goals shines through in every session.

KENO

Keno is a dedicated coach and ISSA-certified personal trainer with a passion for helping athletes unlock their full potential. A former CJFL player with the Westshore Rebels and Langley Rams, he’s built a strong foundation in high-level sports. Keno’s journey began at 13, competing in volleyball, rugby, track, and football, and by 16, he was already coaching the next generation.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Keno combines his expertise in strength, conditioning, and agility with a deep understanding of mindset and motivation. Growing up without access to elite training, he’s committed to providing athletes with the guidance and opportunities he wished he had. Whether working with athletes or anyone looking to strengthen body and mind, Keno’s mission is to help people stay active, confident, and at their best at every stage of life.

ANGIE

Angie started boxing at just 16 years old, initially drawn to the sport for its challenge and discipline. With natural talent and relentless dedication, she quickly excelled, turning her passion into a profession. Hired as a coach, Angie began leading group classes and providing personal training, helping others develop their skills and confidence in the ring.

Determined to expand her expertise, she earned her certification in personal training, solidifying her knowledge in fitness and conditioning. Passionate about helping people, Angie thrives on guiding individuals toward their goals, whether it's improving technique, building strength, or boosting overall fitness. Goal-oriented and deeply committed, she believes boxing is not just a sport but a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation.
